Ammo

There are several different bullet sizes among the firearms available, and the Imperial
Army will pay 160 gp for basic ammunition for each firearm issued to you. Alternate
ammo types or scavenged weapon ammunition will need to be found or paid for.
Basic Ammunition:
Basic ammunition is the usual lead ball and blasting powder charge, with no unusual
qualities.

Ammo Type Cost
Pistol 6 Gp
Military Pistol 8 Gp
Rifle 8 Gp
Military Rifle 10 Gp
Shrapnel Pack 10 Gp
Ghordson Breechlock Ammunition:

A Ghordson Breechlock weapon’s ammunition cost increases to 4 times the standard
costs for ammunition for the weapon. The brass sabots are recyclable after firing
(jamming ruins them). But loading them still incurs a cost of 2 times the regular costs of
ammunition.

Incendiary Ammunition:

Incendiary ammunition burns hot and bright, inflicting an additional 1d6 points of fire
damage with each successful hit. Unfortunately, it tends to heat-soften the lining of the
firearm’s barrel; after twelve to fifteen incendiary shots, the barrel will need re-boring, an
expensive proposition. Each incendiary shot fired beyond the twelve to fifteen shot limit
has a 1-in10 chance of ruining the barrel completely, necessitating a complete
replacement.
Ammunition cost: +6 gp per shot.
Barrel degradation per shot: 8%
Barrel re-bore: Cost 75 gp per barrel.
Barrel replacement: Cost 50% of the weapon’s original cost.

Precision Ammunition:

Precision ammunition utilizes a conical bullet that improves overall accuracy, granting a
+1 to hit bonus that stacks with the accuracy customization and masterwork bonuses.
Ammunition cost: +5 gp per shot.

Bullyboy Ammunition:

The Bullyboy bullet is engineered for killing powder. It consists of a specially configured
lead ball that is actually two halves of a lead sphere with a flat slug of nickel sandwiched
between them. The result of this odd configuration is ammunition ineffective against
heavy armour, but capable of ripping through flesh like a battleaxe through butter.
A target wearing armour with a damage reduction of 2 or higher also gains a +2
deflection bonus against Bullyboy ammunition. Bullyboy confirms critical damage
differently depending on the type of armour the individual is wearing. Against opponents
with medium or heavy armour, the weapon’s critical threat is confirmed normally. When
used on opponents with little to no armour, the bullyboy improves the chance of
threatening a critical hit by 3.
The use of bullyboy ammunition easily fouls a barrel with scraps and gouges from the
nickel slug in the round. After firing more than 3 of these rounds, the battle needs to be
re-bored or suffer a 1in 10 chance or ruining the barrel.

Ammunition cost: +3 gp per shot.
Barrel degradation per shot: 30%
Barrel re-bore: Cost 75 gp per barrel.
Barrel replacement: Cost 50% of the weapon’s original cost.
